One of the best ways to start your Greening efforts is to switch from your current cleaning products to those that are designed specifically with environmental health in mind.

Please do your research before you purchase.  While there are a number of traditional cleaning product companies working to make their products “greener” it doesn’t mean that everything labeled “green” or “natural” is really what it sounds like.  In reality, many of the homemade concoctions we have from grandparents may be just what you need (baking soda does wonders!).

Remember, it isn’t just about what products are made with non-environmentally damaging ingredients, it is also about using products that create a clean, non-toxic surface/air for your family.  My good friends at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes work with their local cleaning companies to encourage the use of green cleaning products as much as possible along with having on-site supplies of these available for any emergency messes.

Here is a list of some resources to help get you off to the right direction.
