Dear Friends,

My name is Beary B. Green, and as the official Ambassador of Green, I am happy to announce that Lindamood-Bell has been Greening our Learning Scene!

I decided to form a Green Team at Lindamood-Bell to help implement the innovative ways in which we can reduce our impact on the environment. By incorporating these ideas and communicating them throughout our communities, we can make a healthy and happy world for the children of tomorrow.

I'm pleased to report that as Lindamood-Bell celebrates it’s 25th Anniversary of Creating the Magic of Learning, our Greening efforts continue to expand.  Here are just a few items we have implemented:

1. Naturally-derived cleaning products.

2. Printing our materials on recycled paper.

3. Recycle bins in every department and at every desk.

4. Video Conferencing to reduce travel.

5. Recycled bathroom and kitchen paper products.

6. Replacing water coolers with tap water filters.

7. Replacing incandescent light bulbs with Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL's).

8. 8.Adorning desks with a plant, therefore improving air quality.
   

9. 9.Research construction and remodeling with Green materials.  This has been a very important step as we add more Learning Centers and work hard to use carpets and paints that are environmentally friendly.
   

10. Only eating honey that is locally harvested.

Although this is a good start, I know that we have quite a trek ahead of us. I invite you to join this effort, it is never too late to make the difference of a lifetime.  You can read through this site for tips & tricks and also follow me on Twitter to get frequent updates on great Greening ideas.
